Dr.R.S.Roy, the chief physician and M.D of Amrita Ayurveda Medical Centre, Tripunithura ,hailed from a family having rich heritage of Ayurveda. Dr. R.S Roy was born   at Cherumoodu, Kundara Kollam as the elder son of Mr Raghavan  and Mrs Sarojini Raghavan. After acquiring  BAMS degree from the renowned  Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, Ollur, he underwent training and practice under Ayurveda Acharya, late Sri. Kunju Raman Vaidyar, Pourasthya Pharmacy,Anchalummoodu ,Kollam  which paved the way for success in his future career. Dr. Roy decided to concentrate his effort as a doctor in the field of Dermatology as he could acquire knowledge about Ayurveda from his very boy hood from his grandmother ,who was a practitioner in‘VishaChikitsa’Dr. Roy resides with his spouse Dr. C. Sindhu who is Professor& HOD, Dept of Salakyatantra (Eye & ENT), Govt Ayurveda College, Tripunithura, Ernakulam.& 2 children Praveen Roy.S & Poornima.S who are students of NSS Higher Secondary School, Tripunithura, at Tripunithura Ernakulam
AMBITION
Nowadays, a good percentage of the world population is the victim of skin diseases such as psoriasis, vitiligo etc. As a doctor who is practicing on  skin diseases,  Dr R.S.ROY  earnestly wishes to popularize the tremendous scope of Ayurveda in curing even severe and chronic cases of skin diseases, which will give relief to lakhs of ailing patients round the world.
